D'Zaunta Jones
I'm a storyteller at heart with a background in journalism, editorial work, and creative writing. I am earning my English degree with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Journalism from George Mason University (Dec. 2025), where I also served as an editorial assistant for Mason Spirit Magazine.
Currently, I work at Georgetown University in the Office of the University Registrar. While this role introduced me to the professional side of higher education, I'm eager to transition into opportunities that align more closely with my writing, editorial, and communications strengths.
My passion lies in telling stories that reflect overlooked communities, challenge narratives, and invite readers into a deeper understanding of people and place. Whether I’m reporting, editing, or creating visual content, I bring intention, creativity, and clarity to my work.
This portfolio showcases a mix of articles, multimedia projects, and editorial experience that represent my growth as a writer and my commitment to impactful storytelling.
