About

It was hard to express myself growing up, so I turned to pen and paper as an outlet. Whenever I felt overwhelmed, I would write a poem or a story to sort through my thoughts. That’s where my love for writing began — as a tool for self-expression and connection.

Born and raised in Southeast Washington, D.C., I’ve always been passionate about telling stories that reflect overlooked perspectives and communities. That desire led me to pursue an English degree with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Journalism from George Mason University. During my time there, I served as an editorial assistant for Mason Spirit Magazine and contributed several reported stories and multimedia projects.

I currently work at Georgetown University as an Information Services Coordinator, where I found myself growing professionally in the world of higher education. While I’ve developed valuable skills in communication, organization, and service, I’m now seeking opportunities where I can return to my creative roots — to grow as a writer and storyteller, and to fully utilize my background in English and Journalism.

This portfolio reflects my foundation as a student journalist and my ongoing passion for writing. I hope you enjoy exploring my work.
